Variety of life

Last week we hosted a cream tea at the manse for our Women's Fellowship group and an enjoyable afternoon was had by all.  There was a bit of debate about the right way to put the cream and jam on the scones as some ladies were from Devon and some from Cornwall but it didn't come to fisticuffs thankfully!

Later tonight we leave for the airport ready to fly off to Uganda tomorrow for a week's mission.  We are really excited about what this week may hold...we have a full agenda for the week and lots of events planned.  One of the unexpected things we will be doing is visiting a project called Amigos which is going to be our District Methodist Women charity for the next two years.  I suddenly realised it is based in Uganda and at the last minute have managed to arrange a visit to the farm where they help people develop skills for work.  I will try to write a blog while we are away if we have wifi access but if not will save all the photos for our return.

We really value and appreciate all the prayer support we have been offered for this trip.  While we are away we have some friends from our All Nations days staying in our home and it's been lovely to reconnect with them again too.

Our lives are certainly very varied and we are constantly thankful to God for all the things we are able to be involved with in so many different ways.
